Chuck The Water Man can Service & Repair Cuno Water Softeners. Cuno Water Softeners can come with a variety of different control valves & even different tanks. Yesterday we serviced a Cuno with a Fleck 5600 Control valve that was working perfectly. However, it had a unibody tank that had developed the split at the flange and had started to leak. The leak hadn’t gotten too bad yet but the bypass valve also had a leak which prevented the tank from depressurizing while in bypass. We replaced the tank with a Structural Fiber tank and replaced the rubber boot in the bypass valve. Result… Good water ! Happy Customer ! Happy Chuck !

In Denver Colorado, we have lots of choices when it comes to water filters & water purification. We talk about water filters frequently. So lets talk about water purification. As a professional in this industry, My favorite tool to purify water is the HomeSpringby GE. It is a “membrane” based technology that uses no chemicals. It is probably the “Greenest” way to purify water. The HomeSpring is cleaned & tested annually by a trained & certified technician. While many filters use hundreds of gallons of water daily just to maintain their capabilities, the HomeSpring uses about 6 gallons per backwash. The best part about HomeSpring water purifiers is they perform exceptionally well. Customers love the transformation of their ugly water to beautiful water. And I love Happy Customers.

Chuck The Water Man is going to replace them this morning. The customer purchased a water softener from us a few years ago. Apparently, they were quite happy with their service from us over the years. Thanks for the repeat business guys.

Water filters are common in Denver Colorado. While a lot of folks in Denver Colorado have water softeners, water filters are even more common. The reason is simple… Denver’s water does contain hardness, but not as much as the surrounding cities. Most people who have softeners have lived in a harder water area before and have grown to really like all the luxuries of softened water. Others may have sensitivity to hard water which contributes to dry skin, dry scalp & dry hair issues. Either way, a water softener in Denver is more of a preference than a necessity.
Water Filters are used in Denver Colorado for totally different reasons. Many water filters remove particulates like sand, grit and other sediments. In older sections of some cities the water mains may not be in the best of condition. Particulate filters are good for removing these types of contaminants. The most common filters contain carbon for the removal of Chlorine & other disinfectants along with their byproducts. Other filters can be qualified as “purifiers” because they significantly improve the quality of the drinking water by removing high percentages of health related contaminants from water (inasmuch as they are present in the water to begin with). These water filters are Reverse Osmosis & Ultra Filters. In Denver Colorado, most folks put in water filters for the “comfort factor”. They consider it “water quality insurance”. They have these filters as a security just in case something happens to the quality of the water being fed to their home. Water quality violations are common these days. It seems like every day there is some kind of story around the country about major compromises of water quality. Certainly cities & towns in Colorado have had more than our share of problems with serious water quality problems. Maybe it really is an individuals own responsibility to be the final gate in the water delivery system. Just make sure if you do invest in a water filter, that it really will protect you in the event of a water quality breach.
