Where can I get a salt-free water softener ? Neither, Chuck The Water Man, not anybody else can supply a “Salt Free water softener”. They do not exist in the traditional definition of water softener. I have studied, researched and tested them exhaustively. I have written on them at length Jump to blog post on salt free softeners. The only practical way to soften water without salt is with reverse osmosis. That alternative will put you in the $10,000 and up range. Please, Please, Please talk to Chuck before you waste good money on a “Salt Free Water Softener”.
