Water System Service

Yesterday was a water system service day. We serviced 2 acid neutralizers and did a major upgrade to a Rinnai Tankless Water Heater System. The upgrade was awsome. We added a secondary storage tank and 2 circulation pumps to the 3 Rinnais in the house. Result…. outstanding !
The upgrade to the Rinnai system goes as follows… There were 3 rinnai tankless water heaters installed in parallel. That was fine. But this home is very large and it took an extremely long time to get hot water to some locations in the house. In addition, certain places in the home never got really hot water. It would only get warm. A recirc loop had been added to the home during construction but not properly configured for Tankless water heaters. We added a 50 gallon secondary tank and twin circ pumps to circulate the water through the rinnais to the 50 gallon storage tank. We also added an Aquastat to control the pumps and the temperature of the water going to the house. The resulting performance is perfect. (and it looks good to)
A day like Friday is very rewarding for a business person like me. Monday thru Thursday were long hard work days. We have been loaded with work. In this economy that is a very good thing. Friday was busy but it wasn’t such a long or physical day of work. In addition to the water filter service jobs, I got to go back to the Rinnai Tankless Water Heater upgrade from Thursday. I had finished that job after 9:pm Thursday night. Therefore, I had not had a chance to review the job with the Home Owner. So Friday I did. He was very pleased and thankfull for the job done properly. After the system overview, we chatted at the sidewalk for about a half hour. It was a good feeling to take that time to talk with a happy customer.
